Soft, silky outer layer. Slightly thick inner padding. Noticeable cooling effect.

This blanket is made up of several kinds of layers. First, on the outside, are the top and bottom fabric layers, which are sewn together with a seam all around the edges. This stitching is very well done with thread that seems reasonably strong. So far, I have found no fabric tears, or frays, or noticeable stitching issues. I also found the coloration to be quite visually striking. The blanket I ordered might not be the only color option available, but it's a very light tinted color mix of sea green and olive green. This top layer is the side facing away from the user, and has a soft, smooth, and semi-slippery satin-like texture. Visually, it somewhat has the shimmering trait of satin as well. The bottom layer is therefore going to be the side facing the user, and is a slightly different fabric type from the top side. This bottom fabric has noticeably less visual shimmer, and while it is still soft and smooth textured, it doesn't have as much of the semi-slipperiness trait of satin. There is still some, though, just not much. Also, it is this bottom layer that has the cooling effect. Please keep in mind, though, that this effect does gradually wear off over time during bouts of prolonged use, but this is also only temporary. Apparrently, it requires exposure to the open air of the room for a period of time in order to 'recharge' this cooling effect. I am uncertain of the exact mechanisms, or how this actually works to create this cooling effect and recharge cycle, but this is what I've personally observed and percieved with it's use. There is at least one more layer, and that is the padding sewn-in to the interior. I'm not sure if this padding is one single piece or several thin but stacked interior pieces. Regardless, it's not very thick at all. It's barely noticeable, in my opinion. It's there, though, because even if going only by my own direct observations, the blanket is just slightly too thick to be nothing more than 2 thin sheets sewn together. It also feels like it has a somewhat thinly padded inner layer when I press my hand down onto it, or when squeezing a rolled up clump of it.Plus, it has the stitching pattern of a blanket with an inner layer. Not the edging stitching, but the pattern of stitches that stretches out all across the whole surface of the blanket. This is a stitching method often used to keep interior layers from shifting position or bunching up, although it doesn't have to be soley used for that reason.Overall, I really like this blanket, and it's cooling effect has already been helpful to me, as the people I live with insist on keeping the house temperature too high for my liking when trying to sleep. I need cooler room temperatures, sometimes with a fan going, even in the winter, but also still need to feel wrapped up snugly in a good blanket. Very hard to achieve with other people who want it warmer, or during summer weather. Because of this, I do believe this blanket will be especially satisfying for most users with a similiar sleeping need and living situation, although I also believe most other users will enjoy it too.5 out of 5 stars.

Cool to the Touch

This beautifully manufactured weighted blanket is the perfect sleeping device. It is soft, luxurious and completely reversable. The smooth texture of the blanket negates the need for a top sheetThe blanket is also very attractive and expertly finished with complimenting piping.I highly recommend this blanket to anyone who is looking for a weighted cooling blanket to help them get a good night's rest.5 Stars

Nice quality cooling blanket

I love a good cooling blanket and this one is great! It not only cools quite well, but it also feels good quality fabric wise. The fabric is soft and comfortable without feeling plastic like. The cooling works on both sides, though one side feels a bit cooler than the other. It’s like getting under the blankets with a blanket that has been in the refrigerator for hours. Now like all cooling blankets it does warm up some after the first few minutes from the body heat. But it still is slightly cooler than a traditional blanket throughout the night. All in all though I’m quite happy with this!

Amazing

This breathable cooling blanket is really nice. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. The fabric is nice and soft; doesn't feel even slightly scratchy or make my skin crawl (had that problem with other cooling blankets). It isn't too heavy adding to the heat but is heavier then a sheet giving a comfortable pressure while wrapped around you. It keeps really cool, at one point I thought it was wet still from the wash. M go to blanket in the upcoming heat.

Nice Comforter

Pros:✅ Soft & Silky Feel – The fabric is described as soft, silky, and comfortable, providing a luxurious texture against the skin.✅ Breathable & Lightweight – The lightweight nature of the blanket makes it perfect for summer, as it doesn't trap heat but helps to reflect it away.✅ High-Quality✅ Machine Washable – Easy to clean and maintain, as it is machine washable and holds up well after washing.________________________________________Cons:❌ Stiffness & Odor – The sheet feels a bit stiff at first and has a slight odor upon arrival, although it goes away after a wash.❌ Thin & Slippery – The blanket is very thin and slippery, which can make it difficult to keep in place on the bed. Some users mention that it tends to slip off, especially during the night.❌ Coolness Is Not Constant – While the blanket cools, it doesn’t always maintain the same cooling effect when in contact with the body. Some users feel warm in areas where the blanket touches them and need to adjust it to regain the cool feeling.❌ Not As Soft As Hotel Sheets – The blanket isn’t as soft as some might expect, especially if you’re used to luxury bedding.Final Verdict: ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4.5/5)The Snuggle Sac Cooling Comforter is a great option for those looking for a cooling solution, particularly for hot sleepers. The softness, cooling properties, and breathable material make it a good fit for warmer climates or summer months. While it’s not as soft as luxury sheets and some users find it a bit thin and slippery, the improved sleep quality and easy maintenance make it a solid choice for many. Just be aware of the slight odor at first and the adjustment period as you get used to the feel.
